Did you know...

In 2007 there were 365 dogs in Scotland that were put to sleep, who were otherwise healthy but who they thought shouldn’t live for one reason or another.
In Ireland, there were 12,500 dogs in the same year. This is how it has been for decades… 35 today, 35 yesterday and 35 tomorrow!
The main reason is that these dogs are simply unwanted. A castration and neutering project could really help change these numbers.

Anna and Martins greyhound land in Arlanda

Anna and Martin have now collected their newly rescued Greyhounds at Arlanda Airport. Both Phoenix and Jocke used to be racedogs who were dumped when they couldn’t earn any more race money. Every year 25,000 Greyhounds are born in order to become racing dogs. Only 3,000 of these reach 18 months of age...

Anna och Martin träffade sina hundar under sin resa till Irland med Hundar Utan Hem. Efter att ha besökt både rescue center och dog pounds åkte vi till en fanastisk kvinna, Mary Jane, som har specialiserat sig på extremt vanvårdade greyhounds. Både Jack och Phoenix bodde på hennes lilla rescue center som heter Orchard Greyhound Sanctuary. Garanterat mer om detta och dom fina hundarna snart.
